An abstracted energy map of Sydney’s CBD, by an inspired team of young architects, has taken out the People’s Choice Award for the inaugural Smart Light Sydney Light Walk.

Lumeoncity, by Sean Bryen, Sascha Crocker and Andrew Daly proved the most popular installation among the 25 light art pieces on show for this year’s Light Walk, according to an online poll run in conjunction with 702 ABC Sydney radio.

This Saturday 6 June audiences will be treated to a series of concerts at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, from 2pm until late into the night. Licht, meaning ‘Light’, is a sprawling 29 hour cycle of seven operas that took the recently deceased composer Karlheinz Stockhausen almost 30 years to write.
