Smart Architecture – increased vision, less consumption
Architects have recently enjoyed a massive increase in the range of available communication techniques and tools, as well as having access to an extraordinary number of new materials and technologies. There is the attitude that ‘If it can be imagined, it can be built’. Can this sustainably continue in the future? How can architects design new city projects and upgrade existing buildings, and especially their facades, so that they contribute to the after dark usage and enjoyment of the city’s public spaces and buildings without wasting energy?
