Created real time weather patterns from weather stations across Australia to create a changing virtual sky on the inside of the Observatory Hill Rotunda.

Weather Projection used new technologies to channel real time information from weather stations around Australia into a projection.

About the artist

Educated at University College London's Bartlett School of Architecture Alex Haw won a Fulbright Scholarship to gain a Master of Architecture degree from Princeton,winning awards at both universities and the American Institute of Architects for research and travel. Since the late 1990s, he has been a seminar leader, unit master, tutor, juror and critic for numerous architecture schools in London and the US east coast.

As unit master with the Architectural Association School from 2003-2005, he and his students completed a series of installations using digital data, light and sculptural components to explore transfers from architecture to atmospherics. At Atmos, his studio in London, further integrations of architecture, electrical engineering and spatial data are continuing.
